How to watch ‘Charmed’ online for free

5 months, 19 days ago

You know you’re a ’90s kid if you remember the cult supernatural drama Charmed on the WB. Last year, the CW (America’s destination for addictive teen dramas) rebooted the witchy fantasy pulp show. Set in Hilltowne, Michigan, three sisters discover that they’re powerful witches destined to protect the innocent from demons and the forces of evil. The eldest sister, science nerd Macy Vaughn, has the power of telekinesis. The middle sister, feminist activist Melanie Vera, can freeze time at will. The youngest, the loveable and bubbly Margarita Emilia Vera, can read people’s thoughts. Together, they are “The Charmed Ones,” the world’s most powerful coven of witches. Lucky for us, they’re on our side.

Here’s everything you need to know to watch Charmed online for free.

How to watch the Orange Bowl online for free

6 months, 8 days ago

alabama football

Cancel your plans and hog the remote, this showcase between Heisman trophy winner Kyler Murray and runner-up Tua Tagovailoa has all the makings of a classic. Can Alabama’s dominant season reach its logical conclusion? Can Nick Saban out-scheme a mobile quarterback? Watch the Orange Bowl live stream to see how the Oklahoma Sooners fare against the perennially dominant Crimson Tide.

Orange Bowl

Location: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami
Date: Dec. 29, 8pm ET
Streaming: ESPN

Orange Bowl: How to watch online for free
1) Hulu with Live TV

stream orange bowl 2018 hulu with live tv

Hulu

Cost: $40 per month (after a 7-day free trial)
Hulu devices: Roku, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick and Fire TV, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, and iOS and Android devices
Local channels: ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, the CW (check your local availability here)

Hulu with Live TV is a one-stop shop for streaming entertainment. Every subscription comes with free access to Hulu’s deep catalog of on-demand TV shows, 2018 new releases, funny movies, and Hulu original series. That’s in addition to 50-plus channels that include everything you need to stream college bowl games: ESPN and ESPN 2, FS1 and FS2, ABC, Fox, and CBS Sports Network, not to mention SEC Network and Big Ten Network. (Here’s a complete guide to Hulu Live TV channels.)

2) Sling TV

stream orange bowl 2018 sling tv

Sling TV

Cost: $25-$40 per month (after a 7-day free trial)
Sling TV devices: Amazon Fire TVs, Android Fire Stick, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox One, Google Chromecast, and iOS and Android devices
Local channels: NBC, Fox (check your local availability here.)

On paper, Sling TV is your cheapest bet for streaming the 2018 college bowl games. At just $25 per month, Sling Orange offers a suite of ESPN channels, but FS1 and FS2, local channels, and regional sports networks are frustratingly locked behind Sling Blue, also $25 per month. The good news: You can combine the two (Sling Orange + Blue) for just $40 per month. While Sling TV doesn’t carry ABC or CBS Sports Network, new subscribers are eligible to receive a free HD antenna. If you really want to go all-in, be sure to add the Sling Blue Sports Extra pack. It costs an extra $10 per month but gets you Pac-12 Network, NFL RedZone, and specialty channels like NBA TV, beIN Sports, and NHL Network. (Here’s a complete guide to Sling TV channels.)

3) YouTube TV

stream orange bowl 2018 youtube tv

YouTube TV

Cost: $40 per month (after a 7-day free trial)
Devices: Google Chromecast, Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, Xbox One, iOS and Android devices
Local channels: NBC, CBS, Fox, ABC, the CW (enter your ZIP code here to check your availability)

YouTube TV offers a comprehensive streaming package for sports fans that’s close to what you’ll find on Hulu with Live TV. One notable difference in YouTube’s favor is the addition of specialty channels like NBA TV and MLB Network. But it’s unlimited cloud DVR and the ability to split each account with six other people that makes YouTube TV worth considering. (You can find the full list of YouTube TV channels here.)

4) DirecTV Now

stream orange bowl 2018 directv now

DirecTV

Cost: $40-$75 per month (after a 7-day free trial)
Devices: Roku, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, and Amazon Fire Stick
Local channels: ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, the CW (enter your zip code here to check local availability)

If you want to go big, you want DirecTV Now. In fact, one of DirecTV Now’s five channel packages is actually called Go Big, and it’s no joke. The service tops out at more than 125 channels, including everything you need to stream college football bowl games (and a whole lot more you don’t). If you happen to be an AT&T Unlimited customer, you’ll save $25 per month on whichever package you choose. (You can view the full DirecTV Now channels list here.)

5) PlayStation Vue

stream orange bowl 2018 playstation vue

Playstation

Cost: $44.99-$79.99 per month (after a 7-day free trial)
Devices: PlayStation 3 and 4, Roku, Amazon Fire, Google Chromecast, Kodi, iOS and Android devices
Local channels: NBC, Fox, ABC, CBS (enter your ZIP code here to check your availability)

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need a PlayStation to use PlayStation Vue. The streaming service works with Roku, Amazon Fire, Chromecast, and even Kodi. It’s a tad more expensive than other options, but it offers four different tiers of channels that provide plenty of variety. (Here are all of PlayStation Vue channels.)

Cotton Bowl: Why it matters

Tagovailoa has the Crimson Tide playing open, aerial offensive ball. The kind that can score 50 on a Saturday and break open games. This isn’t your older sister’s Bama that would find 21-17 results in Death Valley.

Tagovailoa’s Alabama will need every touchdown on Saturday.

It’s the year of the Big 12 breakout: From Texas Tech young gun Pat Mahomes leading the MVP race in the NFL to No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield using his accuracy to dice up cover 2 looks in an era where stripped-down schemes, space, angles, and timing can eat any defense alive. Enter Big 12 champ Murray, a devastating, dual-threat QB1.

The Crimson Tide under Saban struggles with wide-open gunslingers who can run: from that opening Colt McCoy TD drive in the 2010 national championship to Johnny Manziel, Trevor Knight, Dak Prescott, Cardale Jones, and Deshaun Watson. Murray will prove to be Saban’s biggest challenge yet because he’s simply the fastest and most accurate signal-caller that Saban has ever prepared for.

How to stream NFL Week 16 games for free

6 months, 20 days ago

stream nfl games free week 16

In Week 16, it’s do or die, win or go home—especially if your fantasy league is wrapping up this week. Even if you’ve cut the cord, you can still stream NFL games today, and you’ll definitely want to be keeping an eye on NFL RedZone. And with two big games on NFL Network on Saturday, you’ll want to make sure you have all of your bases covered. Here’s a complete breakdown of the best streaming TV services and a schedule for the rest of the week’s games. Thankfully, all of the services listed below offer a free one-week trial.

Stream NFL games today for free: Week 16

1) FuboTV
stream nfl games today week 16 on fubotv

FuboTV

FuboTV

Cost: $39.99 for your first month and $44.99 per month thereafter (after a 7-day free trial)
Devices: Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Android TV, iOS and Android devices
Local channels: ABC, Fox, NBC, CBS (check local availability here)
ESPN: No
NFL Network: Yes
NFL RedZone: Yes (FuboTV + Sports Plus)

FuboTV specifically caters to sports fans, as you’ll note by the abundance of sports channels in its basic lineup, which includes regional sports networks, Big Ten Network, BeIn Sports, and FS1 and FS2. It’s the best streaming service for international soccer and, with a standard package that includes access to all four major broadcast channels and NFL Network, which you might need to watch Thursday Night Football, it’s a solid choice for streaming NFL games, too, especially if you add NFL RedZone to your package. The major asterisk to FuboTV is that it doesn’t include ESPN, but you’ll get free three-day replay for games and 30 hours of cloud DVR storage. (Here’s the complete FuboTV channels list.)

2) Hulu with Live TV
stream nfl games today week 16 hulu

Hulu with Live TV

Hulu with Live TV

Cost: $40 per month (after a seven-day free trial)
Hulu devices: Roku, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick and Fire TV, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, and iOS and Android devices
Local channels: ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, the CW (check your local availability here)
Local channels: Yes (check your local availability here)
ESPN: Yes
NFL Network: No
NFL RedZone: No

Hulu with Live TV has all of the essentials when it comes to streaming NFL games today. Even better, its 50-plus channel lineup includes six ESPN channels, seven if you include SEC Network. (Here’s the complete list of Hulu Live TV channels.) While you won’t be able to add NFL RedZone or NFL Network, Hulu has one thing none of its competitors can match: a massive library of on-demand entertainment you can watch anytime. Here are guides to the best movies, documentaries, anime, and Hulu original series to watch to get you started.

3) Sling TV
stream nfl games today on tv week 16 - sling orange + blue

Sling TV

Sling Orange + Blue

Cost: $25-$40 per month (after a seven-day free trial)
Sling TV devices: Amazon Fire TVs, Android Fire Stick, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox One, Google Chromecast, and iOS and Android devices
Local channels: NBC, Fox (check your local availability here.)
ESPN: Yes
NFL Network: Yes (Sling Orange, Sling Orange + Blue)
NFL RedZone: Yes (Sling Blue + Sling Blue Sports “Sports Extra”)

Sling TV is your cheapest option for watching NFL RedZone. You can add it to the Sling Blue or Sling Orange + Blue packages for just $10 per month. You’ll want the latter, which costs $40 per month, if you want to get ESPN channels in addition to regional sports networks and FS1 and FS2. (Here’s a complete guide to Sling TV channels.) The one drawback: When it comes to network channels, Sling TV only offers NBC and Fox (and here again, you’ll need either Sling Blue or Sling Orange + Blue), but the company is currently offering new subscribers a free HD antenna, so you can at least watch some games that way (just not this week).

4) DirecTV Now
stream nfl games today week 16 directv now

DirecTV Now

DirecTV Now’s Live a Little

Cost: $40-$75 per month (after a seven-day free trial)
Devices: Roku, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, and Amazon Fire Stick
Local channels: ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, the CW (enter your ZIP code here to check local availability)
ESPN: Yes
NFL Network: Yes (Just Right package and above)
NFL RedZone: No

By far the most comprehensive option, DirecTV Now is the online version of DirecTV, and it offers five distinct channel packages at prices that are still far below cable. The entry-level Live a Little package ($40 per month) has pretty much everything you need to stream NFL games today, plus cable essentials like CNN, ESPN, and MTV. But you get have a whopping 125 channels if you upgrade to the $75-per-month Gotta Have It package. Worth noting: If you’re an AT&T Unlimited customer, you’ll save $25 a month on any DirecTV Now package. (You can view the full DirecTV Now channels list here.)

5) YouTube TV
stream nfl games today week 16 on youtube tv

YouTube TV

YouTube TV

Cost: $40 per month (after a seven-day free trial)
Devices: Google Chromecast, Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, Xbox One, iOS and Android devices
Local channels: NBC, CBS, Fox, ABC, the CW (enter your ZIP code here to check your availability)
ESPN: Yes
NFL Network: No
NFL RedZone: No

YouTube TV offers a simple and compelling package for sports fans. In addition to all of the local channels, you’ll get ESPN, a couple of college sports networks, and specialty channels like NBA TV and MLB Network. While it’s light on extras like NFL RedZone, YouTube TV is great if you have roommates you’re looking to split the cost with. Each subscription supports up to six accounts per household, and each comes with unlimited cloud DVR. (You can find the full list of YouTube TV channels here.)

6) PlayStation Vue
stream nfl games today week 16 playstation vue

PlayStation Vue

PlayStation Vue’s Access package

Cost: $44.99-$79.99 per month (after a seven-day free trial)
Devices: PlayStation 3 and 4, Roku, Amazon Fire, Google Chromecast, Kodi, iOS and Android devices
Local channels: NBC, Fox, ABC, CBS (enter your ZIP code here to check your availability)
ESPN: Yes (PlayStation Vue Access and above)
NFL Network: Yes (PlayStation Vue Core and above)
NFL RedZone: Yes (PlayStation Vue Sports Pack)

PlayStation Vue offers a comparable channel list as Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV at a slightly higher price point. One thing that sets it apart: You can stream on up to five devices at once, and you can upgrade your account to include nearly 80 channels. (Here are all of PlayStation Vue channels.)

Other ways to watch NFL games on TV today
1) NFL Sunday Ticket

Cost: $73.99 per month for four months or a single payment of $293.96
Devices: Apple TV, Amazon Fire Stick and Fire TV, Roku, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Android TV, tablets, and iOS and Android devices.

NFL Sunday Ticket lets you watch every NFL game today except those subject to local blackout restrictions.
